Can I install Vector Linux via NFS from a windows box?
As the only quasi-Linux user in my department, I've been dubbed the "expert", and have to find a decent distro to put on the machines that have been reserved for Linux.
They're all the same model, 200MHz Pentiums with 3GB drives, 64MB RAM, one floppy, one NIC, and no CD drive.
I installed Fedora Core on one of them as a test from an NFS share, no problems there.
I'd prefer to put Vector Linux on them, because it's specifically for older hardware like these units...but I haven't found any READMEs for installing over an NFS share or from HTTP...any ideas on how I can install via NFS or HTTP within our local network?
I'm running out of options...Fedora can run, but it's dragging our test box down to the ground.
Thanks, all!
