Why trackerd?

After some serious problem, which I think is solved partially, when I switched on the system again, trackerd run, and used up 50% of my CPU resources.

What is that trackerd? I type "top" in terminal, and see that it said that it is me who ran the trackerd! But I didn't. What's that? Does it matter?
