I've been hunting down a copy of Ubuntu or Kubuntu for PPC lately and every one thats linked to... well theyre dead links! Did they cut off support for the versions related to the architecture? I have an iMac G3 (maybe a G4... cant remember) 600 indigo ( I believe they call it the DV version but I can't remember that either) and would LOVE to install a less bloated and still modern OS on it... OS-X in any configuration is just TOO slow! I don't expect much out of this machine, but when it can't do anything but slowly cruise the net when I know it's capable of so much more... *nix is the only way to go... and I know the ubuntu variants well... so... what do I do? Are there any recommended alternatives? Help!

Canonical no longer supports the project, but I *believe*, its an unofficial project out there somewhere. I remember seeing a link for it somewhere.

Have you considered Debian Etch? It still has a PPC version.
