Why don't you use the package that's in the ubuntu repositorys? It's in the multiverse repository so if you have that enabled then just
Code:
sudo apt-get install vmware-player

thanx,
solution found!!
1. sudo apt-get install gcc-3.4 g++-3.4
2. export CC=/usr/bin/gcc-3.4
3. then install deb or aptitude
