USB Mouse mutible click problem

Been having a weird problem with my USB Logitech Mouse. I will click on a link and it will open mutible programs, If I hit the back button it will go back mutible pages, but the problem is intermittent though lately hasn't stopped any ideas

What distro are you using? Please put this in your profile.

I suggest that you try reconfiguring X to use different mouse protocols. You can change it in xorg.conf, but I think the easiest way is to reconfigure the X server from scratch.

If you are using Debian or Ubuntu or similar, you can use "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg". Select different mouse protocols like PS/2, IMPS/2, etc.

I am using Kubuntu Festy Fawn, but the problem has gone back a for a few of the releses

Try your USB mouse on another system to see if the problem moves with the mouse. Sounds like a good excuse to buy a new mouse.

I have and it hasn't this problem has only been with unbuntu
