uninstall netbeans from kubuntu 7.04

i get this when i run the uninstaller from the uninstall directory from where netbeans is installed. Normally it should launch the uninstallShield but nothing happens.Only this:

anybody knows a way to make the unistallshield work ? (i had the same kind of problem trying to install quake3 arena demo, the install shield wouldn't launch)

The strange thing about it is that is doesn't communicate any error.

Do you have a JVM installed? Can the uninstaller find it? Check the value of the JAVA_HOME environment variable - I think Netbeans needs this. Perhaps you have installed a newer Java version since installing Netbeans, and this should have a new JAVA_HOME value?

I haven't installed any other version of java since i installed both together in a package.

i ll try to check that environment variable.
