Smile Ubuntu 8.04 Media Player - ?

Hi Linuxies !

I installed ubuntu 8.04 recently, hopefully i need some mp3 & avi players. Ofcourse VLC does the work, but i didnt find the exact packages for ubuntu 8 along with necessary libraries.

Kindly forward me to the appropriate thread.

Kaffeine, Rythombox Music player will do help.

What you need is the codecs to play music, etc. Open Applications>-Add/Remove...
In the Show box, change to All Available Apps, type Ubuntu Restricted Extras in the search box, select and install. You may need to activate a repository to complete the installation.
