ubuntu 6.6 wifi shows but can't connect

Hi Ya'll , I have a wireless problem.. Ubuntu picks up the signal but can't grab the internet and times out.. I tried to see if a config was there in about blank and I could'nt bring that up either..I've checked configs in the actiontech and the router is a linksys. My signals great but can't connect , It seems like it has something to do with the port. My card is orinoco silver and my mac# is entered in for mac filtering. My windows XPpro connects just fine , but Dapper won't can someone help

I'd always suggest upgrading to Edgy.

Just kidding, sorry. Your card is an orinoco silver, eh? Have you looked at this article to see if everything is installed right? You could always reinstall the driver, maybe that'll help? Sorry, I don't really know much about wifi configuration, though. Good luck!
