Angry Trying to install jre-5 on Edgy Eft

Hey folks!
I am trying to install java-5 on Edgy Eft. I have successfully installed the jre-5bin, but I still cannot get LimeWire to run!

Is there something that I have to do with the .bin in order to get P2P running?

I used the tutorial here. All of it worked accept the
Code:
sudo apt-get install sun-java5-jre sun-java5-plugin
This installed a .bin file, and LimeWire still does not work!
I still have the old java version.
Code:
bigboss@room224:~$ java -version
java version "1.4.2"
gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.1.2 20060928 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.1-14ubuntu7)

You will need to tell the system which JRE to use with:

Code:
update-alternatives --config java
follow the Ubuntu guide:

I am glad I could help randell6564 . That Ubuntu guide has really fixed every problem I ever had with Ubuntu. I like that guide so much which is one of the reasons I use Ubuntu (even though my profile says SuSE. I always forget to update it, hihi).

Cheers!
