I thought this would be simple, but...no.
Want to install the Sun JRE on ubuntu.
Code:
# apt-get install sun-java6-jre
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package sun-java6-jre is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package sun-java6-jre has no installation candidate
Well, must be no partner repo, right?
Nope:
Code:
# grep partner /etc/apt/sources.list
## 'partner' repository.
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner
deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ lucid partner
They are uncommented..and I did run apt-get update after those. So...what did I miss?
