Question Running Ubuntu 8.10 trough VMWARE

Hello.
Have recently installed Ubuntu trough VMWARE on my computer, reason for doing it is that I am gaming a lot now a days, and at the same time, I wanna learn how to use Ubuntu some more.
I know that it might be the VMWARE that is stopping some of the functions from working. But I got to ask

1. whene I write
___________________________________
" sudo iwconfig wlan1 mode monitor"
___________________________________

I get the following error

____________________________________________________
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan1 ; Device or resource busy.
_____________________________________________________

and the weird thing is that I have a second USB Wireless device connected to my computer, that I am allready using in Windows. Am online trough "LAN" in Ubuntu.

2. Have installed Kismet, and am trying to config the "kismet.conf" file, but it is not there. Its like it didnt get installed :S
Am really really confused.

3. And this I am not so sure I will be awnsered.
At where I live, there are some people sharing the internett. And one of the persons living there is kinda getting on my nerves beacuse he alone has 3 computers on the network.

Is there any great tools to scann and maybe ping him off the network?
I know that this can also be called hacking, but at this moment I am desperate.

1: VMware will present a VMware ethernet card to the virtual Ubuntu install, so you will have internet through the Windows setup of the wireless card. You won't need to set it up under virtual Ubuntu.

2: ?

3: If you have a router and can log into it then most modern routers support access restriction / bandwidth capping by MAC address. You could cut off this guy, or reduce his speed during peak times...
