Problem with displaying on monitor of laptop and U12.10

Hi !
Trying to solve my problem without success, I ask here for help again :-)
I am using Ubuntu 12.10 on Acer 5736Z. With the new kernel 3.0 or + I have come across on this strange problem - the monitor of the laptop turns off after choosing Ubuntu 3.0 or greater. The signal of the screen goes on the port for the external monitor, as I am at the moment. In fact, I saw, that the signal for the display on the laptop does not vanish, but it is very hard to see it - it so dark, only on lamp it is visible that there is the desktop and it is very and to work on it, so I switched external monitor.
In /etc/X11 I have "xorg.conf.failsafe" and just the title of the menus. When I tried to reconfigure it with "X -configure" it stops eighter on some level after "using "xorg.conf.new" and after that display that there are found more displays then written" or either it stops with "can not create lock in /tmp/.x0-lock".
All this I do it in root-panel in recovery mode.
What can I do to have back the good signal on laptop monitor with kernel 3.0or +?
Thanks in advance ;-)

Have you looked at the brightness settings on the laptop? It's possible that for some reason it's defaulting to a low value.
