postgres path setting


I am now configuring Postgresql in ubuntu 11.04 server. I have to edit ~/.bash_profile . But nos such file in ubuntu.

Only bashrc. What i have to do is to add a PATH to the startup scripts. The instruction is to add this to bash_profile.

SO where these PATH variable are set in ubuntu 11.04.?

HELP........THANKS IN ADVANCE

You can create it if it doesn't exist.
