MythTv and Vnc server in Xubuntu??

hi, i'm trying to find a way to run mythtv in Xubuntu- every install method for Ubuntu doesnt seem to work correctly. Is it even possible in Xubuntu? Also i'm trying to find a version of vnc server that will run on Xubuntu, but the only server that is listed on the synaptic list is one built on Gnome which of course doesnt work correctly in Xubuntu.

anyone know where i should start? I've been looking around for a while, but can't come up with anything.

VNC server or viewer? AFAIR, the server doesn't have a GUI.
As for the viewer (which of them - xvncviewer?): Of course you can install any GNOME apps on Xubuntu - they will usually have the same look & feel as most other applications on Xubuntu.
