My graphics card wont work with GUI

I installed Xubuntu. I'm using a Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family for a graphics card. I'm running ubuntun(xubuntu) on Virtual PC. I'm doing this as a form of practice. I'm trying to learn Ubuntu.

The problem I believe falls with "screen init". When I boot it up, I get a screen init failed. Then some others stuff dealing with Kinit. I get the Kinit: No Resume image, doing normal boot.

This very likely has nothing to do with your graphics card at all. Like vmware and virtualbox, Virtual PC must emulate a graphics card that is not the same as your physical card. So that would make it a Virtual PC issue. Try one of the alternatives or maybe WUBI, which will let you install Buntu to your pc as if it were any other windows application. It will probably run a bit slower but then if you care about performance, you should eventually install it properly anyway.
