missing to compile php on breezy + + +

hi,
i'm workin with suse for several years but rather new to ubuntu and i cant compile php here. I need bison and flex for this but bison does not compile either and flex i didnt find yet as source or debian package. rather annoying.
I would have liked to install kde-desktop, too - but it didnt work yet.
commands like
sudo apt-get install kde
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
sudo aptitude install kubuntu-desktop

all lead to nothing cause of missing dependencies i cant solve.

if you have an idea plz help me, thanks a lot
j.
