Major difference between using LXLE bootable and installed?

Can not install LXLE. What if LXLE were not installed and be used as a bootable on a USB flash stick? What would be the major disadvantages and what it would not perform?
Thanks.

Why can you not install it? While trying to install it, make sure your pc is not connected to the internet by wired connection or wifi. LXLE specifically states that in the file found on the desktop screen. If I remember correctly it is the "Readme" file. I have installed it to both hard drive and usb stick just to see the differences and it responds way much slower when running it off of a usb install. Much slower than running it in a live session off of a usb stick.

Thank you.

With or without the PC connecting to the internet, the result of the installation is the same, that is, the installation ends with a message saying "The installer encountered an error copying files to the hard disk
[Ermo 30] Read only file system: '/target/boot/vminus-5.0.4-113 generi'

This is often due to a faulty hard disk. It may help to check whether the hard disk is old and in need of replacement or to move the system to a cooler environment."

And then "We're sorry the installer crashed...."

Have tried a dozen times and the ending is the same every time.

Read only file system:
Are you attempting to install to the same live usb that you are booting from?

Thank you.

Have 2 USB flash sticks on the PC, one 2GB contains the live bootable LXLE, the other one 16GB onto which LXLE is going to be installed. This one is low level formatted.
