loading / unloading modules for Ubuntu

Hi, I have a bluetooth module loaded and running, and when I command line:

$ modprobe -r l2cap

I recieve this msg.:

FATAL: Module l2cap is in use.

I've never had any bluetooth devices, and I'm pretty sure I didn't ask for bluetooth modules to be loaded. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Basically, I'm pretty clueless as to what to do with modules when it comes to loading/unloading them. So, I'd like to throw in a couple more questions. First, where is the init file for Ubuntu that initially loads modules? Is this what I might have to edit to get l2cap to stop loading?

Thanks

atxhandy,

My first suggestion is to leave it alone.

If you open the System/Administration menu and launch Synaptic Package Manager, you'll notice that the Bluetooth modules that are loaded are device drivers. You can remove them from there, at your own risk. The FATAL error message tells me Ubuntu may be using l2cap as a substitute driver for an installed device.
