launcher button and terminal window

I have a small script that is started by clicking on a launcher button on the desktop.

In the script I echo a few lines. When I created the launcher I clicked "Run in terminal". Great - but the terminal window closes as soon as the script finishes.

How can I get the terminal window to stay open?

A quick and dirty solution: at the end of your script, add
