Kubuntu won't boot after install

Hi there,

I am testing Kubuntu 12.04 on my Thinkpad, the live CD boots ok, but after I installed it to hard drive it didn't boot, only the flashing cursor on upper left that's all. I checked the live CD but it has no error at all, I even install the live CD to USB flash, but still didn't boot, what went wrong here ??

The flashing cursor suggests a video problem.

What model Thinkpad?

Look e.g. at this: http://stephen.rees-carter.net/think...ntu/12-04-lts/
...the Thinkpad L520 has a Radeon card and this is a workaround...
