Hi, last time i cleared my PC. I has Windows 8 UEFI on GPT disk. I decided to install Win7, so i enable Legacy Support in BIOS and boot Win7 in BIOS Mode. In Windows 7 installer i deleted all partition on my disc and i created new partitions. Now i decide to install Kubuntu and i have big problem: Kubuntu installer doesn't detect any partitions - show me that my disk is clear, without partitions. Win7 shows me that my disk have MBR partitions, but when i run fdisk in Kubuntu they show me: WARNING: GPT (GUID Partition Table) detected on '/dev/sda'! The util fdisk doesn't support GPT. Use GNU Parted."
What's wrong? How can i install Kubuntu?
In attachments there are screenshoots from my Kubuntu running from USB.
When you boot the Kubuntu medium and go to the Menu, you should find a Partition Manager there. Not sure what it is called. If you can find that, check to see if it sees the partitions. It looks like you have some unallocated space at the end of the drive. I believe from what I have read that windows GPT creates a backup of the GPT Partition Table which causes problems. I don't use UEFI/GPT so don't have any details.
In order to install in Legacy mode, the easiest way is to change the GPT partition table to the legacy msdos/MBR partition table.
Note that you are changing the partition TABLE, not the partitions.
You can install in linux in Legacy mode to a GPT partitioned drive (with the proper procedure), but you CAN NOT install Windows in Legacy mode to a GPT partitioned drive.

Thanks for replies, i found solution. Win7 converted my partition table to MBR, but left some GPT data, so Kubuntu installer couldn't detect corectlly my partitions. I did have to login to root in terminal and repair disc by the command: fixparts. This command removes all unnecessary GPT data from MBR partitions, and installer detect all my partitions correctly.
