[SOLVED] Just installed Lubuntu 15.04. Hangs, need to restart in recovery mode sometimes.

This hanging problem on startup isn't constant, but intermittent. How do I correct this? Anybody have any ideas?

Did you md5sum check the Ubuntu iso before installing it?
What are your computer specs? Links to computer review are expected for a good answer.
Along with a quote from the site on specs.

Might be a graphics issue. I know nouveau on nvidia does not play well on some gear.
Just a guess though.

I did the automatic update, from the nag screen that shows up when a new distribution is available, so I never handled or saw the iso file. The previous release Lubuntu 14 was without issues on this machine.

FWIW, this in an Acer net top, atom processor, 2 gigs of ram. Lubuntu 15 works flawlessly once it's up, and usually it comes up successfully. Just every so often, hangs up on startup and gives the same white screen seen briefly just before the login screen appears.

Fresh install. Gave up trying to troubleshoot it.
