Issues Upgrading to Ubuntu 21.04

I recently upgraded my Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop from Ubuntu 20.10 to 21.04. No problems.

But when I tried to do the same update on my desktop workstation, I get:

"Error during update
A problem occurred during the update. This is usually some sort of network problem, please check your network connection and retry.
W:Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disable by default., W:See apt-secure(8)manpage for repository creation and user configuration details., E:The repository 'http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu eoan-security Release' does not have a Release file."

I have tried the update via the Software Updater and via the terminal. The Software Updater tells me I can upgrade and begins, but it does not work. Both methods end with the same error. There is nothing wrong with my network connection.

I've searched this forum and the internet, but have not seen a solution.

Any ideas from the community on how to solve this? Thx!

Run
Code:
sudo apt update
cat /etc/apt/sources.list
cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*
ls -la /etc/apt/sources.list.d
and post the output here.

Thank you for your reply. I see multiple errors and comments on repositories, but I must admit I do not know how to interpret them. Also, some of these repositories, such as Softmaker and Teamviewer will be deleted, as I no longer have the software installed. As requested:

You have many repositories active that do not fit the version groovy gorilla (20.10).
You need to disable them and uninstall the packages from them.
Code:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/gezakovacs-ubuntu-ppa-focal.list*

sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/graphics:darktable.list*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pmjdebruijn-ubuntu-darktable-release-focal.list*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/home:tumic:GPXSee.list*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pmjdebruijn-ubuntu-darktable-release-focal.list*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/slack.list*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/softmaker.list*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/thomas_tsai-ubuntu-ubuntu-tuxboot-focal.list*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/utappia-ubuntu-stable-eoan.list*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/yarn.list*
get rid off them, then show all the command I mentioned in my first post again, we need to fix more, but first this.

Great, now you need to edit /etc/apt/sources.list with root privileges.
You need to replace eoan with groovy.
Then show
Code:
apt-show-versions |grep avai

Ouch. This may take a bit. Since some of them are critical, I assume I am removing them and then re-installing the critical ones?

You need to uninstall them. After the upgrade you need to set up the correct repo for them, but for now uninstall them.

OK, that worked! Up and running on 21.04, so far no issues. Getting critical packages re-installed, mostly done.

Thx!

Please be aware the the upgrade disables other repositories and PPAs.
Run
Code:
apt-show-versions |grep avai
cat /etc/apt/sources.list
again.
