Installing Kubuntu 704 on "vista" laptop

I have a new IBM Think Pad with Vista on it. I want to install Kubuntu 7.04 . It seems this version of Kubuntu does not let you decide where to put the Grub boot. Any suggestions on how to install Kubuntu with out screwing up the Vista MBR?

Thanks.

How do you plan to boot Kubuntu?
I usually look closely for "advanced options" to both install to pre-made partitions and install the bootloader. As far as the bootloader is concerned I am ready to rewrite the bootloader I wish to use by a secondary method. With Windows this should be "fixmbr" from the recovery console. You would want to confirm you know how to open the recovery console and run the fixmbr command. Before doing so you would want to rewrite Grub as needed from Kubuntu.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm sorry it took so long.

I took "vista" off and am just using the Linux which is what I would use anyway..
