What it says. I want to do some music stuff, I was having trouble with rosegarden, so I thought, just install ubuntu studio and it will sort the settings out for me.
Fat chance. I now have no sound from any programs.
I've checked my levels in alsamixer. I can still hear sounds coming through
line in, providing that on some level the sound is working.
KDE gives an error message about phonon and the audio device not working upon login.
Some possibly-relevant command output

SB is my onboard sound "card". (Bt878 is a TV tuner. NVidia is I assume for my graphics card's HDMI output, which I'm not using.)
I've tried Google, but nothing that seems relevant has turned up.
