iBus adding languages

Hi I have Ubuntu 11.04 and iBus installed because I live in China. I want to add languages, especially German and Spanish. On the other laptop I have Fedora and iBus. There I have a great choice of many languages to add. This laptop with Ubuntu, I only have Chinese.

How to add the other choices??

Have no idea why iBus would be a problem.

I would just pull up your terminal and;
Code:
dpkg-reconfigure locales
unless you removed them the packages should be there for just about anything supported by Debian.

If not check in synaptic for "locales".

I did both, first the command line, then synaptic and I reinstalled locales. I checked language support in System settings, German and Spanish and English and Chinese are checked. I set keyboard input method to ibus in System settings. I rebooted. But I still only have Chinese in ibus.

Any more tips??

Well, no I don't. Have no idea about ibus as I have never had it installed. Only know what I have read in the synaptic description. Didn't sound like it should be a problem.

Maybe you ought to check the man page on it.

The Ubuntu Wiki might have something in it.
