How to install Adobe flashplayer on Kubuntu 9.04
I want to install Adobe flash player on my Kubuntu 9.04, but I can't find it inthe repositories.
So I tried to download and install the .deb file (it is indicated for Ubuntu 8.04+ on Adobe site). Using Gdebi I get the message that the plugin gets installed, but then in Mozilla Firefox nothing happens.
What am I getting wrong?

Try this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Re...dFormats/Flash)
Click on the link for Jaunty Jackalope.
This will install flashplugin-installer which will install flash. Restart browser and it should work.
Or you could install flashplugin-installer using Synaptic.

I had already tried any of those before posting, without success.
Actually, synaptic installer now shows the Adobe flashplayer as "installed", but my Mozilla Firefox doesn't agree!
Maybe I should paste manually the libflashplugin.so in somedirectory of firefox?
Maybe the problem is my installation, looking in the usr/lib directories I see that I have installed both firefox 3.0 and 3.5, and the icon on my desktop actually launches the 3.0 (strange! I made only automatic update..).
However, I tried running the 3.5 manually, but the result is the same, my firefox doesn't see the Adobe flashplugin, even if according to synaptic it's there!
