[SOLVED] Help enabling Java in Firefox 3.5

I recently installed Firefox 3.5 but still haven't been able to get my Java to work in Firefox. I installed the Java package through the package manager but the plugin doesn't appear to be functioning. I have tried removing and reinstalling the package but that has not solved the problem either. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Did you installed the plugin?

Yeah, the I had the plugin installed. It seemed the problem was a conflict with OpenJDK and related plugins. I merely uninstalled OpenJDK and Java worked immediately. Thanks for the help though
