gksudo nautilus error

Running the command the first time yields this:

Code:
~$ gksu nautilus
Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
Running it a second time says this:
Code:
~$ gksu nautilus
Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
** Message: Initializing gksu extension...**
Eel:ERROR:eel-preferences.c:117:preferences_gconf_value_get_string: assertion failed: (value->type == GCONF_VALUE_STRING)
I searched Google for answers and found this which worked:

The solution was:
sudo mv /root/.gconf /root/.gconf-old

do you have a /root home folder ???
you might not seeing as ubuntu dose not like root gui logins

can you boot into root user in TEXT ONLY ( init 3) boot

also A BUNCH of distros set DIFFERENT $PATH options for a normal user and for root

I do not use ubuntu so
for every distro i have used ( fedora, cent red hat , arch , suse )
the su command with the - option works
try this in the terminal
Code:

su -

-- your root password when asked ---

nautilus
some have said that this will not work on Ubuntu , i do not know .

warning -- DO NOT GET IN THE HABIT OF DOING THIS IF IT DOSE WORK !!!
