Emerald Themer not applying themes

Here's the new dilema: I run Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty on Live CD for now, and I got Emerald themes and theme manager to work. Now, all the nice themes aren't applying. There's no apply button anywhere and no matter how many clicks I do, it doesn't apply.

Did I miss something?

Well, I sort of figured it out. You need beryl-manager and also, you must make sure that your card is 3D.

Ok...Ie got beryl-manager working fine, a 3d accelerator board...but my emerald just don change the themes...

Anyone?
