dsl connection and Firestarter

Can't get Firestarter firestarted!

I am in a flat in China. To get internet, I just plug in the wall. The connection requires a username and password, which I buy with a card. The connection works.

But Firestarter has problems, and I don't know why!

Here some info:

Active network connections:
Nanjing dsl (default)

Interface Ethernet (eth0)
Hardware Address 00:23:54:6C:1A:E8
Driver forcedeth
Speed 100 Mb/s
Security unknown

IP Address 58.212.224.158
Broadcast Address 58.212.224.158
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255
Default Route 58.212.224.1
Primary DNS 218.2.135.1
Secondary DNS 61.147.37.1

If I try to start Firestarter I get a warning

The device eth0 is not ready
Please check your network device settings and make sure your network connection is active.

This is ifconfig

Hi, well solved that one myself: I set the device to ppp0 not eth0, and it works! Woohoo!
