Docky won't run properly in Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial distro


Downloaded and installed 'Docky' into Ubuntu 16.04. When I run it, its panel comes up in black momentarily at the bottom of the desktop, and then disappears. Tried reinstalling to no avail.

... had posted this in newbies, though thought this a more appropriate thread.
