Lightbulb changing screen resolution in Ubuntu 11.04

Hye,
I am using ubuntu 11.04 and I am unable to change my screen resolution.
when i try to detect my monitor it describes it as unknown.
It also shows that minimum configuration to be set is 800x600 and maximum also 800x600.
I am having a great problem in running several of my tasks.
So,please help me.
I am in a great danger.
I dont use any graphics card but i use intel pentium 4 processor.
I dont know which graphics card i have.
please help.

Great danger, huh? Hmm...

You really need to give more information here. What kind of computer do you have? And more importantly, what kind of video card do you have?

Basically, the issue I'm guessing you have is your video drivers are not properly installed.

Please post the results of this command:

Code:
lspci -v
All computers that have a monitor have a graphics card, by the way.
