Question Are there any Free "Frontpage" alternatives on Linux


I was looking for a Frontpage like "WYSIWYG" HTML editor program. However I couldn't find any thing. Most of what popped in to the google search was IDE or text based HTML editor. buut I want a WYSIWYG type. Any one could help???

Fortunately, there are not many Frontpage was probably the worst html editor I've seen. Mind you I last used it 10 years ago.

Obviously you are free to use any editor you want. Personally I don't like wysiwyg editors. In my opinion, using
a wysiwyg editor you mostly learn using a particular program, not html/css. That's just me, though.

Wysiwyg

Hello Nabeel,

I was just looking at a not very well known editor (not well known to me anyway), called Blue Griffin

At first glance, it seems easy to use and able to switch between source (html code) and wysiwyg very easily.

Hi,

SeaMonkey (part of Mozilla Suite) and Open\Libre Office Writer\Web are similar in my opinion to FrontPage.
