I was surprised that the SPARC did so poorly. Sun was renting or selling complete shacks of systems and support like
AC and switches. The sales pitch was that the energy savings on the box would pay for the rent. Of course you had to park a sea train box outside.]
This is only in regards to supercomputing.
The actual energy used by the top one was still like 400Kw plus the cost to AC the place. A bit more than I use to watch Hulu.
