A government agency in Norway has reported Sony to the Consumer Ombudsman after floods of complaints over removal of "Other OS" functionality from PlayStation 3 consoles.Norway's Consumer Council claims Sony breached the Norwegian Marketing Control Act, by withdrawing a key feature after sale. It says Sony's terms of service are unreasonable and leave the consumer without any legal protection.

This is good news, a bit late ... I mean they only realize this after the PS3 gets hacked to try to restore otheros and some level of control.

Either way, I think that what $ony did was illegal. How can they change the EULA suddenly, force you to accept it or deprive you of the ability to use online features, and remove features at the same time. In any sanely governed country, such a thing would be considered illegal (the USSA is not included).
