Like American lawmakers in the 1920s trying to enforce prohibition, I am afraid that the RIAA is clueless. IMO, they would benefit more financially if they spent most of their time and money improving the quality of their material and developing legal, reasonably-priced, easy ways to get the material online. They will not be able to overcome technology. It is only a matter of time until cassettes and CDs go the way of the vinyl record. (Cassette tapes are almost there already.)
