A lot has happened in the open-source community recently. First, Microsoft acquired GitHub and then people started to look for GitHub alternatives without even taking a second to think about it...... But, today, GitLab made a smart move by making some of its high-tier plans free for educational institutes and open-source projects. There couldn’t be a better time to offer something like this when a lot of developers are interested in migrating their open-source projects to GitLab.
