Yast Installation History? How to view last n packages installed

Hello,

I have installed 2 days ago (25th of feb) a package which I don't remember, it was regarding some plugin for ALSA and surround support (I am having a very hard time trying to make On-the-fly Dolby Digital Encoding and upmixing work outside real AC3/DTS encoding) and now I cannot force spdif as the default route for all applications/sounds. It was working before and though the sound was only stereo, I had more bass and a higher volume with better sound quality. I then installed some package I don't remember and after the next reboot all 3 default=spdif following are not working (error I get is resource/device busy):

Code:
1st way:

pcm.!default spdif

2nd way (if above doesn't work):

pcm.!default {
       type hw
       card 0
       device 2
}

3rd way (if you have more than one sound card / need resampling / other funkiness ):

Obviously you will need to change the pcm string line to match your setup. The output of aplay -L will probably help.

pcm.!default {
       type plug
       slave.pcm "iec958:CARD=V8235,DEV=0" # taken from aplay -L
       slave.rate 48000 # optional resampling to 48kHz
}
So now I want to uninstall that package I can't remember. I have looked http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Documentation_Portal and googled, found someone in 2005 talking about a future request to view a history, but that's in 2005 and we are in 2008.

Anyone knows where I can find a history of the yast installation packages? Either in a log file (readable) or GUI or command line. How can I view the last n packages installed? Or at least the very last one...

Tnx!!

'rpm -qa --last | less'
will display installed packages,
with the latest installdate at line 1.
Qoute from man rpm:
'--last Orders the package listing by install time
such that the latest packages are at the top.'

Hey that's great! I wasn't aware of sorting capabilities (only listing of installed packages), should have looked through the man pages, you're right. Looked everywhere else but there.

I will give it a try when I'm back home!

tnx
