X.ORG Window server on 9.1

Hi everybody --it's been a long time since my last visit --work etc etc.

I'm going to like 9.2 very much indeed especially if they've finally fixed 2 mega problems I had with 9.1

1) Wireless -- you can get round it with the commercial ndis wrapper but it's really a cludgy solution

2) the USB problem --when loading Scanners, etc there was a real problem in allowing access no people other than ROOT to be able to use these devices --something to do with dynamic devices or similar. There were a few get arounds lthat worked for scanners but this still caused a lot of problems.

I like the idea of the new Window syystem at Xorg-- can I get this to work on 9.1 or should I wait for 9.2.

I'm tempted to wait as I'm going to re-install EVERYTHING again --I can re-load my MySQL databases so that's not a problem either.

Would be great to have a possibility of trying a REAL version soon (ftp or the same as they did for 9.1 -- a personal edition where you can easily add the extra apps you want.

BTW you'll STILL have to find a DVD player --amazing they haven't sorted this out yet but there's enough software all over the net to fix this problem and possiibly WinTV will need fixing.

Ndis wrapper is cludgy? So clicking on the install button in yast, typing 3 text commands, then setting up a new wireless device in yast using ndiswrapper as the driver module is difficult or bulky? lol... funny...

As for installing X-Org, you should probably wait and see what 9.2 comes with first. And second, if it doesnt come with it and its working perfectly fine on something else, why mess with it and risk screwing up the whole setup? If X-Org is gonna be the next X that all linux uses, it'll find its way into the distro's once the distros can work out the bugs.
