To access files on SAMBA installed Linux from Windows
Hi All,
I want to access the files on the Suse-9.2 linux. I have installed the SAMBA server and when I access this machine from Windows machine, the Linux machine is asking for an user name and password for each and every folder which I try to open.
I want to access the files on the Suse-9.2 linux. I have installed the SAMBA server and when I access this machine from Windows machine, the Linux machine is asking for an user name and password for each and every folder which I try to open.
Add a Linux user (e.g. billy) to the Samba user database with this command issued as root (su first): smbpasswd -a billy
Then use those credentials in windows to address the share
