Suse partitioning & volumes

Hi all,

I'm not very familiar with suse/novell (sles) but would like to know what is the best way to partition 2 hdd's keeping in mind of creating new volumes via iManager later, other than the default of 'sys'.

By default is creates a 'sys' volume where user's home directories are stored, but I want to create a new volume 'vol1' which will host the user's home directories while 'sys' will host all the system files, etc. The problem is I don't know how - I have an idea but are struggeling with this. All help will be appreciated.

Thanks

I assume you're doing OES and not SLES, since you mention the sys volume, right? There are distinctive differences between these products.

Add the drive to the system as normal, and you should be able to configure an additional volume in iManager.
