I have opened this thread some days ago. Because I did not get an reasonable explanation of the phenomena, I am asking again, if there is a guru, who can explain why this is happening.
My system, SuSE 9.3, is working well an nice. The problem ( not a big one ) is, when I am in YAST2 control center, trying to search for a package, I simply can not write a word into a search window. The cursor is blinking there, but as I said, it is not possible to write there.
There was somebody who advised me to minimize the window and maximize it again. And yes, it works. But I would like to know the reason and possible solution for that.
Thanks for the answer. No, I cant write into the window but I can paste. And interesting, I cant delete or remove what I paste. When I minimize the control center and then maximize it, It is possible to write and delete. Strange is nt it ??
I've noticed the focus problem as well..
The focus is set to the OK butting on the lower right, selecting the search input field dosent change the focus. I've used the tab key to refocus to the search input. As for why this isnt working like it should I'm not sure. Hopefully the developers at Novell have noticed and will correct the problem.
I have noticed this when trying to configure my Dial Up Connection. I cant enter data. I think it has something to do with the SuSe packaged KDE GUI. Sounds like a bug that should formally be reported! But, accessing the menu in a different way does work, funny..
