SUSE 9.3 - Need driver for Savage S3 for IBM T23 laptop

I have installed SuSE 9.3 on an IBM T23 Laptop. For some reason I do not have a good driver for the S3 graphics chip and I'm stuck in 800x600 at 8bit resolution.

I need a driver that will support a higher resolution or a fix for the x config... which sax2 is not help out with.

From a console, run 'hwinfo --gfxcard'. That should tell you the driver you need (probably savagefb).

lsmod should tell you if it's loaded.

If it isn't loaded, do 'modprobe savagefb'.

Then try Sax2.
