SUSE 11 on Fujitsu Siemens desktop designed for XP
I have problem instaling SUSE 11 on my computer Fujitsu Siemens desktop which is designed for XP,
I have the bootabile version of SUSE 11 but there is no chance to start the instalation altrough the CD is the first boot device it seams that bios is designed for XP, is there any way to install it?
If I put the xp installation cd it boots the cd but SUSE 11 does not wont to boot it just passes to XP as the dvd is not inserted, I have checked the dvd with the friend and his computer does boot the suse, than I obtained new DVD -rom but still nothing.
If I login to XP and initiate the instalation of SUSE it says that the instalation is initiated and requieres the restart of PC in order to continue, but when the PC is restarted nothing happens it still boots the XP?

Help!!!!
Ok..do you have a CD or DVD? Both are mentioned in your post. You say you checked out the disk on your friends computer, and it boots from it, but it sure sounds like one of three things
The CD or DVD isn't bootable
The optical drive isn't set to be the first in the boot order
You have a CD drive in your PC, but are putting a DVD in it
Are you SURE your laptop has a DVD drive? There is no "Designed for XP" machine...it's just a sticker and marketing talk. The BIOS is just a standard bios.....
Yes i am mentioning CD but it is allabout the DVD,
DVD is bootable, it is werified on other computer
and the dvd is set as first boot device (agin checked with XP installation version)
However I have contacted the official site of www.fujitsu-siemens.com about the problem and this is the answer that I got

Dear Mr. Jokic,
Unfortunately Fujitsu Siemens Computers does not support Linux.

So there is a connection of a problem with BIOS
No, there isn't. Fujitsu doesn't support Linux, and they won't support it for you, if you put it on there. That's a standard answer from anyone who doesn't ship their computers with Linux. Your BIOS has NO IDEA what operating system is running, period.
As I suggested before:
- The optical drive isn't set to be the first in the boot order
- You have a CD drive in your PC, but are putting a DVD in it
Are you SURE your laptop has a DVD drive? Are you trying to boot Linux under a virtual machine?
You never answered those questions, or said anything. Please don't post less than 24 hours apart, pleading for help, when you don't answer questions asked of you.
