I installed the retail version of SUSE 10.0 from the dvd, I also added the Packman Repository as an installation source in YAST.
I get a return of "No Results" when doing a search for MPlayer through YAST
but I am able to go directly to the packman site and d/l the the MPlayer rpm.
There seems to be a problem with getting apps from the packman repos with SUSE 10.0.
This worked fine with SUSE 9.3....
Anyone else experiencing problems using the packman repos with YAST in SUSE 10.0 ??

yeah, i have yet to get anything from packman due to that prob. can't refresh-connect, anything..however all sites have been alittle overrun with the amount of d/lds.
i did note last night wene i did an update, there was one for yast saying something @ connections and yast not finishing properties update after a d/ld from repositories. So i'll have to give it a try again.
Each time you use yast you need to refresh the packman source details and sometimes run them again. For some reason suse 10 doesn't seem to pick up that other yast sources have been added.

Yes.
What I did was put in the packman source with the suse/9.3 as the directory, and everything worked fine. With the 10.0 directory, nothing was found, which I found odd because I saw it there when browsing the directories with a web browser. Probably not the perfect solution, but it got things working.

You're asking questions that are explained at many places.. But have you noticed the big "installation sources" icon in YaST already?
