i was trying 'smart' (http://wiki.suselinuxsupport.de/wikk...PackageManager)

i got the packages from here: (http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/pnews.php).

the speed is great and the setup was automaticly. (what means i had no clue were the configfiles are until i read the help page).

but as i tried to make a security upgrade i got stuck. smart upgrade always tells me that there no new packages.
unfortunaly does YOU (yast) tell me there are some upgrades needed.

what did i miss ? (the FAQ does not mention the problem nor a hint how to debug it).

btw: i am using SuSE 10.0 on my x86 desktop since 10.1 on my notebook can not upgrade at all since you crashed soon as he starts to load upgrade, no idea why.

First, run the command: smart update
then, run the command: smart upgrade

Updates the package cache.

I also run smart clean all when I'm done.

$smart update
Loading cache...
Updating cache...
<delete a list a sites>

$ smart upgrade
Loading cache...
Updating cache...

Computing transaction...
No interesting upgrades available.

That is exacty what it got before and it is still not what YOU see.
Do i need to configure suse security upgrades special ?
