SLSE9 login issue with bash.bashrc

modified /etc/bash/bashrc, now I can't login. Every time I try it errors and boots me back to the login prompt. No ftp or rsh available to the root account. Tried init level 1 but still runs bash.bashrc and kicks me out. Another issue is that the root FS is on a raid, therefore the rescue disk won't work as it does not load md devices.

any ideas.
