Remove SuSE Novell logo on tty1 of suse 9.2

I have suse 9.2 on a Dell P4, and I ususally run from console mode. The first screen, tty1, has an anoying SuSE - Novell logo at the bootom of the screen, which I would like to remove. Can anyone tell me how to remove this logo.

Thanks
Irv

You can switch to textconsole-only (no framebuffer). Add splash=0 to the kernel options in /boot/grub/menu.lst. Alternatively, change the bootsplash theme by including a new picture into initrd.

The splash=0 worked great. Thank you very much.
