Question Regarding the gcc version available on SLES-15 SP5

Hello all,
I am using SLES-15 SP5 machine, and I am seeing the gcc version as 7.5 on the machine. But on other latest operating systems, the gcc version available on those machines are either 8 or 11.

I have just two questions:
1. Why gcc version available on SLES machines is still 7.5?
2. Is there any way to upgrade the gcc version on SLES-15 SP5 machine?

If anyone has any idea, please share your thoughts.

Thanks
Sagar

SLE is an LTS distro. First release of 15.x was ages ago in computer software lifetimes. SLE users have paid support. You should ask it. You may find 7.5 is merely the base version, and if you need newer, various newer versions may be available. openSUSE 15.5 is SLE based, uses 7.5 as base, and provides up to 13.x for those needing it.
